27 Reasons Why Newt Gingrich Would Be A Really, Really Bad President

Amazon "strongly supports" new federal framework for internet sales tax!
Amazon is now supporting a new internet sales tax. Why? Crony capitalism. They plan that they will be able to handle this new tax because of all of the economic capital they already own. Thus, making it almost impossible for competitors to arise to compete. Why would anyone EVER support a new tax? Taxation is IMMORAL. Taxation is when the government puts a gun to your head and says hand over your private property so it can be redistributed or you're going to jail! This democracy. Tyranny of the majority. Plato once said that "Democracy always passes into despotism."

Long Gun Open Carry Event at Pacific Beach
The Peoples Republic of California has passed into law a bill that that will ban open carry effective January 1, 2012. It's great to see that some people still care more about their natural rights than the new Lady Gaga song in California. People like this need to mobilize around the country, before that state slowly takes all of our rights away.

The TSA is now stopping people on the highway to inspect their passengers and vehicles for potential "terrorist" threats. I think it's great we're enacting a total police state around the country starting at airports and spreading to sports stadiums and highways all in the name of keeping us safe while severely restricting our liberties. More people in the past 10 years have died from food poisoning than terrorism in the US. I don't see an entire new department like the DHS for that...

"The Public Good" = a gun to your head
The whole OWS movement is very confusing. You have people there for many different reasons, and you have different political sects trying to co-opt the movement at every turn. This movement probably won't go anywhere to the variance in goals that the protesters have, and the fact that there is no main message or messages.
Listen to the moron in this video, who just loves the concept of government theft via a gun to your head.

Can Government be Run Like a Business?
Running a business is not the same as running government. In fact they are very, very different. Many conservatives seem to think that getting a businessman in the white house or running government like a business is a good idea. This is an extremely misguided notion that would fit more along the lines of socialist thought.

Democracy
"A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the majority discovers it can vote itself largess out of the public treasury. After that, the majority always votes for the candidate promising the most benefits with the result the democracy collapses because of the loose fiscal policy ensuing, always to be followed by a dictatorship" -Tocqueville
Our Constitution was one of the greatest achievements in world history in terms of liberty. While the Constitution was a good start to restraining government, history has shown very clearly that even it could not restrain government from growing ever bigger. The fact that 51% percent of the country can govern the other 49% has given us huge debt. While we are not exactly a democracy per se, history has shown that our country has moved closer to a democracy than a republic. If only the founders knew to add further restraints to Congress' law making ability. Instead of requiring 50% for a bill to pass each house, something like 80% or more would be a much better number for those who have an interest in liberty.

Police Confront Man For Open Carry Legally
"When governments fear the people, there is liberty. When the people fear the government, there is tyranny. The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government." -Thomas Jefferson
While tyranny becomes law in the halls of the legislature, eventually all tyranny comes to the door in a uniform.

Scandals - Only Bad Under Republican Presidents
There have been a recent string of scandals that have happened under the Obama administration, but most Americans probably don't even know about them. It's probably because scandals are only a bad thing if they happen under a Republican president(i.e. watergate). With Operation Fast and Furious, the Solyndra loans, LightSquared, and now another billion dollar loan to another solar company where Nancy Pelosi's brother-in-law is the #2 at the company.
Is the Obama administration going to be held accountable for this? Only time will tell, but it's pretty safe to say that Obama won't be resigning the Presidency at noon tomorrow anytime soon.

The Killing Of Anwar Al Awlaki
Many Americans and those in the media have been cheering the killing of Anwar Al-Awalki throughout the day today, even many conservatives(or neoconservatives at least). How can these conservatives who say they support the Constitution, liberty, and the rule of law support such a tyrannical and unconstitutional action?
If the government has the right to deem an American citizen a terrorist and then assassinate them without any type of trial, a liberty-minded person should understand how wrong this is. Just months ago, many DHS internal memos were leaked calling people who were pro-life, veterans, or right-wingers potential terrorists. Under the logic that many are currently professing, the government would be able to kill any of those people or virtually anyone they deemed a terrorist extra judicially.
This, like many other overreaching government actions, sets a dangerous precedent for expansion and abuse of government power in the future. If the United States had the intelligence to track down and kill Mr. Awlaki, then they certainly had the intelligence to track down and capture him. Not that this vile and evil man is anyone to stick up for, but you can't pick and choose who to apply the law to in a republic like ours.
Also, if we really wanted him so bad, why didn't we just pick him up when he was invited to dine at the pentagon? (Yes, this really happened.)

Government Wastes Another 500 Million Dollars of YOUR MONEY...
Many on the left still claim that free-market capitalism is the cause of our problems. It's too bad that they don't understand that we have not had capitalist market structure in decades if not over a century. When the government picks winners and losers and consistently meddles in the economy, we have corporatism. This Keynesian economic outlook has destroyed our dollar and has sent our economy into a tailspin.

Goodbye to the "World's Worst" Media Personality
Keith Overbite: Countdown to No Ratings. For those who don't know, this was the title given to Keith Olberman by popular nationally-syndicated radio host Mark Levin. This title seemed to be pretty accurate because we recently have found out that Mr. Olbermans MSNBC TV career is coming to an end.
Anyone using both sides of their brain to think can see that this man's television program was a nightmare to watch. Olberman was one of the most popular liberal commentators on TV, however his ratings were far behind any commentator at Fox News. There were several reports to why Olberman was leaving MSNBC ranging from his contract to his political donations. Nonetheless, it is good to know that this mans strange and incompetent rhetoric will not be heard anymore on national television.

A Time of Sorrow
As most people know there was a terrible shooting a week ago, on the morning of Saturday the 8th. A 22-year old man, named Jared Laughner opened fire at Democratic Rep. Gabrielle Giffords' outdoor meeting. She was his target and suffered a gun shot wound to the head. Miraculously at this point it appears she will survive the injury. A total of thirteen people were injured and sadly six were killed, including a federal judge, a congressional aide and a nine-year old girl.
Laughner is in custody and faces the death penalty. He is remaining silent, having plead the fifth and will likely go for an insanity plea. There are many reports along with many of his online posts that show he is indeed very mentally unstable.
Everyone is pointing the blame at someone else. Liberals saying conservatives such as Sarah Palin had targeted that district in "cross hairs" on a map of the U.S. and have been using a great deal of gun related language. With conservatives responding to this criticism that those were simply districts to target in elections, and it was never meant to lead to anything like this. Although Laughner targeted a Democrat he appeared to be very mixed along political lines, liking the book by Hitler, Mein Kampf (Giffords was indeed Jewish) and a book by the Chinese communist leader Mao, which would usually be linked more towards the left of the political spectrum.
In all of this political turmoil, there are likely many to blame. But sadly a new far more daunting finger of blame has arisen, as we knew it would. With many Democrats backed by the Brady campaign saying that it was not Loughner to blame or all of the political partisanship, but are now attacking guns........ As always they are using the crisis to get their agenda's passed when they hope there will be less opposition. Fortunately groups such as the NRA have vowed to fight any laws that threaten the second amendment rights of the citizens of Arizona.
It is so sad to see that so many people come away from such a tragedy with conclusions as insane as we see from some of those in the liberal media and politicians. I mean, let me get this straight. A truly mentally ill man goes on a crazy shooting spree in an attempt to assassinate Rep. Gabrielle Giffords and the lesson learned is that guns should be taken away from law abiding citizens? Where is this connection between a mentally ill lunatic and responsible, perfectly sane people coming from? It would be the same as a drunk driver killing an entire family in a car and the state or federal government trying to ban alcohol or even cars to everyone. Absurd right? And yet, that indeed was the response.
There are countless reasons to not ban guns to law abiding citizens, they can not all possibly be named here, but one reason would be that limiting access to guns will not stop criminals from obtaining guns!! Drugs are banned in this country, yet they are found everywhere. If guns were to be banned it would not stop a single criminal from obtaining it on the black market, it would only prevent law abiding citizens from defending themselves. Leaving them to the mercy of thieves, home invaders, murders, rapists and madmen.
As Americans we have a Constitution. It gives law-abiding citizens the right to bear arms. Allowing us to protect ourselves, our families and our homes. It is a huge part of how America has remained so free. God Bless America!
“Laws that forbid the carrying of arms...disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes...Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man.”
--Thomas Jefferson

House Set to Vote on Obamacare Repeal
The United States House of Representatives is set to vote on a bill that would repeal the government healthcare takeover in the coming week. There's about a 99.99% chance that this bill will have absolutely no affect on standing healthcare law. With a democratically-controlled U.S. Senate and Obama in the White House, this initiative will never become law.
The remaining reason for this vote is to at least attempt to make good at the promises Republicans had made to voters before the election. Almost 70% of Americans are against and favor the repeal of this healthcare takeover and the House Republicans have made good on their promise. Even if this bill doesn't go anywhere, the Republicans are at least attempting to make progress in reducing the national debt and creating a climate for job growth. On the other hand, democrats have been on a course of nonstop spending, gibing us trillions and trillions of dollars of debt in only the past few years.
The Republican House has started off on a good note and seems to be addressing the grave concerns that our nation is facing. The only thing we can hope for is that these newly elected House members stick to their principles and their promises and are able to cut reckless spending that is driving our great nation into the ditch.

Why is the mainstream media politicizing the Arizona shooting?
If you turn on the news, chances are you are more than likely to see the station covering the shooting in Tuscon, Arizona. This incident was a tradegy and the mainstream media and the left has already hypocritically jumped to conclusions and has blamed everyone from Sarah Palin to Rush Limbaugh. This is almost sickening to watch these people report these utter falsehoods.

Members of Congress Read the U.S. Constitution
Congress finally after 221 years has an official reading of the Constitution. The document that gave our government it's structure and guaranteed us our freedom is finally being recognized by our national legislature. It is the job of Congress to look to the Constitution for its power, and stay within it's limits to uphold the rule of law in this nation. Maybe the liberals in Congress will learn a few things from this reading and stop exceeding their delegated powers limited by the Constitution.

"Lady GaGa" Should Make You Sick
In this day and age you can almost expect anyone coming out of Hollywood to be a braindead liberal who blindly follows the culture of corruption associated with mass entertainment. There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that "Lady GaGa" fits into this group of bought and paid for pawns of the entertainment elite.
First of all, just looking at her and the way this "woman" is dressed takes away all of her credibility to speak on any intellectual level in my opinion. I'm not going go down the line and correct her flawed arguments because it's the same amnesty argument we hear from liberals all the time. I will say that I will never, ever support this woman in any way. I will work against her and her agenda that causes her followers blindly follow her madness and then espouse the same liberalism.
We are a country with borders Ms. GaGa. In fact, the only way you can have a nation is to have borders. This will not change and us Americans will not let you change it. America, love it or leave it.

A Not So Happy New Year For California Residents
The democratic supermajorities in the California Legislature have graced the people of the failing state with even more new laws. The legislature passed 725 new laws set to be enacted the 1st of January 2011. Here are just a few examples of the 725 new laws to be enacted in California:
AB 119 prevents insurance companies from charging different rates for men and women for identical coverage.
SB 782 prevents landlords from evicting tenants who are victims of domestic or sexual abuse or stalking.
AB 1844—informally known as Chelsea's Law and authored by local Assemblyman Nathan Fletcher—will increase penalties, parole provisions and oversight of sex offenders, including a "one-strike, life-without-parole penalty" for some.
AB 1871 allows people to lease out their cars when they are not being used—alleviating the need to purchase additional insurance.
AB 537 will make food stamps an acceptable form of payment at farmers markets through an EBT process.
SB 1411 makes it a misdemeanor to maliciously impersonate someone via a social media outlet or through e-mails.
SB 1317 allows the state to slap parents with a $2,000 fine if their K-8 child misses more than 10 percent of the school year without a valid excuse. It also allows the state to punish parents with up to a year in prison for the misdemeanor.
AB 715 makes a change to the California Green Building Standards code. The change will require new California buildings to be energy efficient.
SB 1449 makes the possession of up to one ounce of marijuana an infraction with a penalty of a $100 fine.
AB 12 allows foster youth to acquire state services until the age of 21.
SB 1399 allows California to medically parole state prison inmates with physical incapacitating conditions and ultimately shifts some of the cost of care to the federal government.
AB 97 bans the use of trans-fats in food facilities.
