Long Gun Open Carry Event at Pacific Beach
The Peoples Republic of California has passed into law a bill that that will ban open carry effective January 1, 2012. It's great to see that some people still care more about their natural rights than the new Lady Gaga song in California. People like this need to mobilize around the country, before that state slowly takes all of our rights away.

Those Who Trade Freedom for Security...

The TSA is now stopping people on the highway to inspect their passengers and vehicles for potential "terrorist" threats. I think it's great we're enacting a total police state around the country starting at airports and spreading to sports stadiums and highways all in the name of keeping us safe while severely restricting our liberties. More people in the past 10 years have died from food poisoning than terrorism in the US. I don't see an entire new department like the DHS for that...

"The Public Good" = a gun to your head
The whole OWS movement is very confusing. You have people there for many different reasons, and you have different political sects trying to co-opt the movement at every turn. This movement probably won't go anywhere to the variance in goals that the protesters have, and the fact that there is no main message or messages.
Listen to the moron in this video, who just loves the concept of government theft via a gun to your head.

Can Government be Run Like a Business?
Running a business is not the same as running government. In fact they are very, very different. Many conservatives seem to think that getting a businessman in the white house or running government like a business is a good idea. This is an extremely misguided notion that would fit more along the lines of socialist thought.

"We Need a Civilian National Security Force"
Thank God that this man never got to implement this ludicrous idea. Old clip, but this is scary stuff...How can those people just sit in the back and clap when the man basically calls for a police state? The US implemented Posse Comitatus for a reason. Sheep...

Ron Paul Warned 9/11 Would Happen!
Don't worry...he's just a crazy old man...
It was just a coincidence that he predicted 9/11 and the housing bubble...
Let's support empty suits and flip floppers like Mitt Romney instead...

Kinetic Typography of US Foreign Policy
The plain and simple truth about our foreign policy. The "they hate us for our freedoms" just isn't an acceptable or sane position for conservatives to take.

Democracy
"A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the majority discovers it can vote itself largess out of the public treasury. After that, the majority always votes for the candidate promising the most benefits with the result the democracy collapses because of the loose fiscal policy ensuing, always to be followed by a dictatorship" -Tocqueville
Our Constitution was one of the greatest achievements in world history in terms of liberty. While the Constitution was a good start to restraining government, history has shown very clearly that even it could not restrain government from growing ever bigger. The fact that 51% percent of the country can govern the other 49% has given us huge debt. While we are not exactly a democracy per se, history has shown that our country has moved closer to a democracy than a republic. If only the founders knew to add further restraints to Congress' law making ability. Instead of requiring 50% for a bill to pass each house, something like 80% or more would be a much better number for those who have an interest in liberty.

Obama: American People Not Better Off Than They Were Four Years Ago
While Obama did inherit a bad economy, it's clear that he and the federal reserve have done nothing but make it worse. At least he admits that Americans are not better off than we were 4 years ago.(However, I'm also not implying the economy under Bush was anything special.)

Police Confront Man For Open Carry Legally
"When governments fear the people, there is liberty. When the people fear the government, there is tyranny. The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government." -Thomas Jefferson
While tyranny becomes law in the halls of the legislature, eventually all tyranny comes to the door in a uniform.

Scandals - Only Bad Under Republican Presidents
There have been a recent string of scandals that have happened under the Obama administration, but most Americans probably don't even know about them. It's probably because scandals are only a bad thing if they happen under a Republican president(i.e. watergate). With Operation Fast and Furious, the Solyndra loans, LightSquared, and now another billion dollar loan to another solar company where Nancy Pelosi's brother-in-law is the #2 at the company.
Is the Obama administration going to be held accountable for this? Only time will tell, but it's pretty safe to say that Obama won't be resigning the Presidency at noon tomorrow anytime soon.
